Dis.connect.ed: A Short Documentary

What connects us to our cultural heritage? How do we make a deep connection to place and culture? Can we become disconnected from a place’s historic and social value for the past, present and future generations? Where do real space and cyberspace come together?

Funded by the Regional Development Arts Fund (a partnership between the Queensland Government and Noosa Council), DIS.CONNECT.ED: A Short Documentary presents a series of interviews with our local elders and explored the tangible and intangible qualities that lead people to associate or express deep feelings for a place.

The documentary film also investigates the intersection of digital and physical space, and how the very concept of space and the ability to perform in it is challenging our senior population in our ever-increasing digital age.

The film was first screened at Cooroy Library on 17 September 2019.
