Mira aims to create a sense of emotional intimacy in her community projects, music composition and songwriting.
Following a career in traditional Chinese medicine, group facilitation, yoga and meditation teaching, Mira completed a Bachelor of Creative Arts (Honours) at Charles Darwin University. Her research interests include melancholy, archival art-making as a practice of belonging and art and music as the temple. Mira also hosts the Sunshine Coast Songwriters Roundtable, a supportive space for songwriters to meet and hone the art of storytelling with words and music. A recent 2023 project is the performing arts show Sometime Soon, which explores eight older community members experiences of loss and attitudes to mortality through movement, spoken word and music.
Mira joined D.I.V.E. Theatre Collective in 2023. She is excited to extend her work into unexplored realms of physical theatre storytelling.
